Make a call using VSoft (with VSoft already installed)
- Turn off all pop-up blockers you have on your PC.
- Type the ten-digit phone number you wish to dial in the "Number to Dial" box.
- Test your connection speed to determine which VSoft setting to use:
- Click on the "Test Your Speed" link
- When the box opens up, click on "Test My Speed" button
- When the test is completed, it will recommend which VSoft setting is best
- In the "Set Video Speed" box, click on the arrow which will display your available choices. Click on the VSoft setting recommended by the "Test Your Speed" function in step 3 above.
- Click on "Dial Now."
- The next screen has a chat area, a box for the Video Interpreter's (VI) video, and a box for your video. The chat box displays information about your call. You can also type to the VI in the chat box.
- As soon as the VI appears, begin signing your conversation.
- When finished with your conversation, click on "Hang up."
Install VSoft and make a call
- Turn off all pop-up blockers you have on your PC.
- Click on "Download VSoft 3.0.0 with new XpressVRS Dialing feature!"
- VSoft installation will begin. Follow the directions on the screen.
- When you see the "successful installation" message, you are ready to make a call.
- Continue with step 2 of the instructions for making a call (above).
Helpful Hint
Because bandwidth speed changes frequently, it is best to click on "Test Your Speed" if some time has passed since your last VSoft call. By testing your speed and choosing the recommended VSoft setting, you can help ensure you get the best possible video quality for all your VRS calls.
